I'm about 3 weeks out now and little one hasn't turned. My OB has mentioned twice that we're getting close to him wanting to do an external cephalic version (turn the baby procedure). I'm dead set against this.
I just have this feeling that if she could turn, she would. I have a gut instinct that says I'll go through the procedure (which I've heard horror stories of), end up in 20+ hours of labor resulting in a C-section anyway.
Am I crazy to simply prefer to leave it up to nature? If she turns, great, if not, then it's C-section for me. I'm comfortable with either birth scenario but think forcing her to turn is the wrong thing to do. Thoughts?

I'm going to find out on Thursday if my LO is breech, and believe me I will be exhausting every single option before agreeing to a c-section. As other posters have suggested, there's acupuncture, going to a chiropractor, exercises, hypnobreathing you can do, etc. Have you tried any of those? There are a lot of things you can do before trying to turn the baby.
We found out on friday that our LO is still breech. We were given the ECV or c-section option.
We're going to see a consultant tomorrow to talk about the ECV some more because we too have heard/read things about it.
I want to avoid a c-section but I also want to know what's involved in that, too.
I'm trying positions and stuff but it isn't working yet. I would continue to try different positions and maybe you could talk to someone about the ECV?
I hope your LO turns!
