Usually they say that you shouldn't feel any pain in your back during a BH. If the pain starts in your back and moves forward you could be having real contractions. I personally have never felt pain in my back during a BH. Maybe you should call your dr?
Yes! Pretty uncomfortable...I had BH contractions every 4-5 minutes for almost two hours Saturday afternoon. I kept getting up and walking around which helped - but the back pain was pretty yucky...hang in there!
I havn't had back pain with my BH, just a lot of low crampies. But my lower back can hurt so bad I can hardly walk if I try to sit on the floor.....OUCH
Life is so much better when you believe in magic!!!

This. I'd keep an eye on them. The only times I've felt contractions in my back were when I was having pre-term labor with DD at 33 weeks and then again when I was in labor at 39 weeks.
geez! Glad I read this...I am having the same issue, but they aren't in a timed rhythm. Bad menstrual like cramps that comes in waves of severity but nothing on a set time....figured they couldn't be real - that and I'm only 36 weeks.
Those sound real to me. I would call your OB and give them a heads up. They may want you to come in to the office to check on you or have you go to L&D. I have had back contractions for almost 8 weeks now (early "real" contractions nothing new), but I had never experienced back contractions with DS1 or DS2. So I guess I get to experience something new with this LO.
