Did she really just do that???

My parents are here to watch football, and my mom wanted to walk around with Owen.  So she was walking with him and all of a sudden we hear Ryder talking to someone.  He's supposed to be napping, DH just put him down, and he was sound asleep.

My mom went into his room and woke him up.  What right does she have to do that???  So DH went back and was like "Hey, he needs to take his nap right now."  Well, it's too freaking late because the kid no longer wants to nap.  He knows his grandparents are here and he's back there screaming.  I was just rocking him my mom came back while I was to ask if I can make some tea with her.  Yes, I'll do that after you LEAVE my toddler's room...you know, the child you just woke up for me.  DH is with him now.

I'm annoyed.

    OMG I would be livid! My parents do this thing where they talk from J's point of view. Like if I say it's time for a nap, they will say "But i just woke up mommy" it drives me up the wall!

    My MIL does that too.  It's annoying, but she's never actually crossed the line and woken him up or gone against our parenting.

    I'd let her take care of my grumpy toddler for the rest of the day.  Poor little guy, I know DS needs his naps or he is a terror.

    You've told us about your Mom and her issues before.  What a crazycakes.  How has she been with the new baby?  Is she still saying those horrible things to DS1?
