The Great Firetruck Watch, 2010

today is firedrill day. Usually sometime between 9am and 11am.

I've been getting up every 5 - 10 minutes to look down on the street and see if the firetrucks are here. Because I have to get the elevators before they turn them off.

I hate getting stuck going down 12 flights of stairs with everyone else in the entire building.

(I have my sneakers on, my purse handy and am ready to bail to the mall)

most expensive firedrill ever. $20 at GameStop and $93 at Gymboree

and I got stuck taking the stairs. The guys weren't even all off the trucks outside yet, and the elevators were already off. Boo.

12 flights of stairs?! I don't think I would've made it, pregnant or not! Shopping sounds like a very good use of time during a fire drill. We just had to mill around outside till we could go back in. My building was only 4 stories though, so it wasn't too long usually.
