i'm heading to asheville north carolina tomorrow...anything special i need to do when flying, aside from drink lots of water and get up every once in a while? yes, i know google is my friend...but i'm getting tons of different information...wear compression hose, etc. oy vey.

You got it. Drink water and walk around. I flew to and from Toronto and Nashville when I was pregnant and I was fine. Its a short flight so i wouldn't worry about it too much, you'll be ok
Oh, and it's a metal detector, not an x-ray machine at the airport that you walk through so that's ok too. I know you didn't ask, but I remember seeing that question a lot on the trimester boards.
I flew at about 25 weeks or so and did not wear compression hose. It was a 3 hour flight to Boston so it wasn't too bad. I just drank water and walked around.
BTW depending on what airline you're on, see if you can buy the bottled water once you have passed into the terminal. I flew on Spirit (WORST. AIRLINE. EVER.) and they actually charged you for water!!! Unbelievable!!!! On the return flight, I made sure to get some water once in the terminal so I wouldn't have to deal w/ flight attendants.
