I haven't seen DH since 6:30am yesterday. He got in after I went to sleep and went to work before I woke up... ::sigh::
So far today I have done several loads of laundry, showered, cleaned up dog poop 3 separate times from the rugs, vacuumed and Swiffered the floors, and cleaned the downstairs.
My dad is coming over in a little bit and we are going to go for lunch with Jackson and get him a Hanukkah present. Then my sister will meet up with us and do some errands. Good times.
Re: What's on tap for today, ladies?
My H is out hunting this morning and J decided that he wants his morning nap back, so he's snoozing.
After lunch we're going to cut down a Christmas tree. Can't wait!
My J is napping too! He woke up at 7:30 and I was convinced he would not take a morning nap, but he had a meltdown and has been sleeping since 9:30ish.
We're going to attempt to take Christmas card photos/ I have to haul the rocker up from the basement for this and I really don't feel like it. I wanted to get them done befor lunch.
Oh and I wanted to do some baking this morning. I didn't realize there was spilled grease in the bottom of my oven from the popovers I made last night. So my oven is still self cleaning and I'm bummed.
I should just crawl back in bed. I am so unmotivated now:(
Haha if it were me, I would drop off DH, skip the lunchdate, and go home and take a nap
Enjoy your date!
I should be cleaning now, but everything I have to do is near DD's room and she's napping and I'm not going to risk waking her up.
Let me ask you a really embarrassing question. I have NEVER cleaned my oven and it is a few years old. I know that I have to. It is stinky from the grease on the bottom. Is it something that I can just do on any given day? Do the windows in the house need to be opened when I do it?
I am not usually this dense, I promise.
Dh has to work this weekend too. But he took the monitor last night, thank god! It's only 9:20 here, so just breakfast, vacuumed, and finished decorating our Christmas tree.
It's gonna be a long day. Sounds like lunch should be fun. Where are you going?
Nothing fancy... probably pizza... and yeah weekends alone are always the longest :-(
Well, we were going to go to downtown Philly and see the Christmas stuff at Wanamaker's, but my guy was up all night screaming in pain and none of us slept more than 3 or so hours.
Now we have some meds for an ear infection (thank God for Saturday morning office hours at the pedi) and I plan on catching my zzzzs.
Go Phils!!
Both boys were up at 3:45 this morning. This early waking is the devil. I got a brief nap when B went back to sleep between 5:30 and 6:30.
After getting breakfast and sorting laundry, I holed myself up in our extra room studying for my accounting exam in a few weeks. I get no time to study during the week so I have to take full advantage of the weekends.
It's snowing here today anyway, so it's not like we'd be out and about anyway. DH is in charge of the boys and laundry today. I'm interested to see how that goes! But they usually behave better for him than me, so he'll probably be fine.
DH does baseball lessons with kids all day on Saturdays, it's his busiest day.
DS and I usually hang out and play all day. I was super productive yesterday, so today will just have a little cleaning, some laundry, and some baking.
It does smell a bit and I always open the windows. The normal clean on my oven takes about 3 hours. Before using the self clean, I try to remove as much of the mess as I can with warm water and baking soda. Don't use any abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
I usually set it to clean in the morning so the smell dissipates by nighttime.
I woke up at 4 am to see DH off for work, stayed up and took care of bills, when the kids woke up I went to breakfast with my mom. We went shopping at Target and came home - my mom took DD.
I fed Ben, got him down and did a few loads of laundry, dishes, picked up, vacuumed.
Then I loafed. My mom brought Mia home, I gave her a sippy of water and put her down for a nap and now I'm snuggled up with a sleeping Ben on my bed.
Later we'll go to my mom's to decorate her tree and then eat dinner. I'll go home, make DH dinner, he'll come home and we'll spend a little time together as a family before bed.
Sushi & Harry Potter sounds like thew best day, I'm jealous. Dishes & laundry today here, that's it. Sometime next week I am so getting a sitter & going to the movies.
