Recommend your digital camera

I am so disappointed with mine. I have a Sony digital camera 10 megapixels which i thought was great before but lately I find it takes very mediocre pictures. It's also probably because DS keeps moving, does not like flash, etc so I am really disappointed and starting to shop for a new one. Probably SLR or something equally good to capture DS moving around without it being too blurry. I know I should have done this before he was born :((

    I have a nikon D60 and love it. I have the kit lens, a zoom lens, and a 50mm f/1.4 lens. I'm still learning the 50mm as it is totally manual focus.

    I know a lot of people like Canon dSLRs but, I didn't like the way those felt in my hands. I say go to a camera store and try some out to see what you like/ want and then shop for a deal online!

    I have a Canon Rebel Xsi.  It's a great starter SLR.  But I don't ever plan on going any higher into SLR's.  It's more than enough for me.  I'm just a hobbyist. 

    I don't know what your budget is but the Rebel Xs is a great starter SLR too.  The only real difference in the two is megapixels and LCD size.  You can find both on amazon.com or B&H Photo or Adorama.com at good prices.

    We have the Canon Rebel and love it.  One thing to look at is the price of lenses for the different brands.  Nikon makes awesome cameras and lenses, but each is more expensive than Canon.

    This!  It is so easy to use and takes amazing photos even on the "Auto" setting.  I'm having fun learning to use all of the other features.

    I have the Canon Rebel XSi and love it!  I have had it for about a year now and am very impressed with it!

    J is getting me a DSLR for Christmas and right now I am leaning towards the Nikon D3100. I am going this weekend to a few stores to get a better feel for it, but that is the one I will probably end up with.
