Anyone ever have gallbladder issues?

I don't know if that's what it is, but I've been having this horrible pain underneath my rib cage on the right side.  It started two weeks ago, and I thought it was related to working out, but it hasn't really gone away.  It seems to be worse in the evening, and it makes coughing very uncomfortable.  The only thing different I've noticed is more heartburn than usual.

I'm seeing my family doctor on Monday, but didn't know if anyone else has experienced this.

Re: Anyone ever have gallbladder issues?

  • Sounds like my experience exactly. I had mine removed in 2003 when I was 27. The surgery was very simple (laproscopic) and I have had no issues or ill effects since. I hope you get some answers soon! :( Sara

  • I have a few friends who've had their lap choles done by Larry Stevens with Tower Surgical Group. He goes to Clarian North Just thought I'd ward off evil spirits with a surgeon referral, lol.

Yes, I had it removed at St. V's.  My story is not typical though -- spent time in the hosp in STL with a surgery (not removal, a sort of "bandaid), came home, had gb removed, spent several nights in the hospital after surgery.

Your GB can fill up with stones in 24-48 hours...
