Our family tradition is to have a whole seafood dinner. We usually make clam chowder (I make this), crab legs, seafood salad, fried calamari, some type of veggie and steak. Its my most favorite holiday dinner.

We spend X-mas eve at DH's grandma with tons of family. Last year on Christmas night we made beef tenderloin rolled lobster tail with a bearnaise sauce, it was heaven.
We usually go out to dinner on Christmas Eve just DH and I and our two boys. We do extended family on Christmas Day. I'm not sure what our plans will be this year, since I'm on bed rest. I guess DH will just have to pick something up or make something.
The tolberone chocolate mousse dessert sounds very yummy.
We do Xmas Eve with my MIL and usually does something very traditional (i.e. ham, turkey or prime rib). Tamales would be great though, and the 7 fishes idea would be awesome.
This year we've been invited to my dad's cousin's for lasagna, but for the last several years my family has done linguine with white clam sauce and a bottle of nice champagne. It's quick and easy to do after coming home from Christmas eve services.
In my family (my parents and siblings) the tradition for the past few years has been to eat out on Christmas eve after church service. Usually it's this huge Chinese buffet out whree my parents live. This year, we're obviously not traveling to them, it'll just be DH, DS, and I for Christmas. I think I'd still like to go out for diner after church and I'll cook a nice meal on Christmas Day. That is,.. if this baby hasn't arrived yet. His c section is the 28th.
Generally we do seafood because we are italian, but this year my family is not hosting Christmas Eve (doing New Years day instead).
I'm at a loss. I've only known Christmas eve one way ;(
It will just be DH, DD, and I. Although we will have "dinner" around noon at my IL's.
Maybe we will do a holiday pizza with lots of gourmet ingredients! Well, let me rephrase.. I will have lots of gourmet ingredients and DH and DD will have cheese and pepperoni (simpletons!)
My sister, mom and I will be making tamales (all the men and the 2 sister-in-laws get to sit back!) Can't wait, they are so yummy!!! We also make some kind of traditional Mexican dish, don't know what it will be this year but it usually includes some kind of seafood.
We do appetizers & cocktails...everyone brings something different. Turns out really good and not much works since most things are make ahead or reheat. Sometimes we'll grill shrimp or have crab legs too.
I want some of that mousse! YUM!

Christmas Eve tends to be a restaurant/take-out day for us, and we'll be out of town so that doubles the probability that we won't be cooking "at home".
Contemplating the snow.

Do you have the mousse recipe?

There are other recipes you can google for, but I am a slacker so I'm making the easiest one I could find.
I've never made it before though, so I can't vouch for it

Whatever is open, probably.
