Nursing bras?

Ok ladies where did you buy your nursing bras? So far I have gone through 6 nursing bras in 3 months. I bought my nursing bras at Target and at Motherhood Maternity and all of them have fallen apart, gotten lumpy to the point that you can see them under my shirt (and no I do not put them in the dryer) or the straps do not tighten far enough so I feel like I have zero support! Are there any stores that sell a good nursing bra???

  • You have to buy them on-line, by Victoria Secret sells nursing bras

  • I haven't used it for nursing yet (though that's the biggest reason I bought it lol) but I found a Bravado seamless bra on eBay. They're online, I had one on my Target registry for a couple months and just bought one. One bra covers different sizes, it's really comfy, and so far its holding up really well. No problems with pilling, wearing or anything, and I bought it used! They're almost $50 new, but if you can find one used, or even want to buy a new one I'd try one. I love it!

  • Nordstroms does a really good fitting, and I like the bras I got at first. After 6 months though I'm feeling like they're not as supportive.

I bought a couple of regular bras in my size that have the removable straps in case you're wearing a strapless dress from Target. So much more supportive and still works as a nursing bra.

  • I bought a few Motherhood Maternity Bras and they are terrible after a few washings. My favorite bra is a bra I bought a Pea in the Pod. It's their brand of bra and it was probably about $40. I also love the Amon Maternity Beloved bras for sleeping. They are super comfortable and hold up through many washings. Here's a link to th bra. I think you can find them cheaper if you search online.

  • I have to agree w/ PP about bravado bras. They work great and are very comfortable. I bought mine online, but noticed that they carry them @ peapods in st. paul.

  • If you can, I'd stop at the Nursing store at a hospital nearby.  United has a great one and so does Park Nicollet in St. Louis Park.  They have great bras and usually have someone who will help you try and get the right fit.

The one at Park Nicollet is really easy access for the public and has better hours, but I would still probably call to make sure they are open.  But at United, you might want to call ahead because the hours are really weird and I don't know if you can get there without being a patient.

I saw the one at United when I was there having DS.  I bought my pump at the Park Nicollet store when DS was a few months old.
