afraid of the vacuum

Kamille is terrified of the vacuum.  I can only vacuum if I'm holding her, she screams if I put her down.  I've tried talking to her and showing her it's not going to hurt her.  I've even gotten out our small little swiffer type electrical vacuum to show her and get her used to it, but nothing has worked.  Any tips?

    Jalen was the same way. He would just scream and start shaking. I think it was around 14 months when he stopped. I told him it was okay and had him help me push. Now he loves the Dyson and wants to help all the time. GL, she will come around soon.

    J is 2 and still hates it!  He no longer cries, but he runs!

    no idea! my kid's the opposite, he loves it and constantly stands in front of it while I'm trying to vacuum and follows me all around trying to push it. He gets mad when I put it away. Funny how kids can be so different!!

    CLARK HATES IT!!!!  DH has to vacuum downstairs while we play upstairs and even then we have to warn him it's coming on and now it's just a little whimper and a little cry but still he hates it.  We show him what it does etc each time...he's slowly coming around!!!

    Time!  I don't know when it changed but just one day L wanted to help and she claps and says YAY!!! when I'm done now.
