DS is on Amoxicillin for an ear infection. Giving him meds was a nightmare with him spitting the full dose out until I figured out he can be bought.
All it takes is a small little cookie. If he can hold it in his hand and I tell him he can eat it after his medicine, he will chug the stuff down and then happily toddle off to eat his cookie.
We are terrible but it works.
Re: We bribe our kid
Not terrible--smart.
If he needs the ATB, there is NO REASON you can't give him a reward for taking it like a champ :-)

Eh, I'm a firm believer in bribery for the greater good. As long as he doesn't think he'll always get a cookie (or whatever) every time he does what he's supposed to, I see no harm in it.
ETA: I bribe B with crackers and Teddy Grahams when we have to do diaper changes in public. It's the only way he stays still and quiet. My mother offered the suggestion a while back, and I've heeded it ever since.
