We TTC for almost 6 months with DD and though it was a relatively short period of time we had 2 m/c during those 6 months so it went from fun TTC to kind of stressful TTC pretty quickly. It looks like we're going to TTC #2 in a month or so (once my new job starts) and though I'm really looking forward to it I'm kind of worried about keeping it fun and not stressing.
Any advice or thoughts that might help if you've been through something similar?
Re: If you TTC #1 and #2 come in please
It took us about 6 months with DS1. We didn't experience any m/cs, but it was long enough to kind of wonder why it was taking so long (both my sisters got pregnant on accident multiple times!)
With this baby I stopped breastfeeding, got a period two weeks later, and got pregnant two weeks after that! I feel like for one thing, my body was in baby-making mode, and for another thing, I wasn't as anxious about it as I was the first time around. I had a baby to keep up with and he kept my mind too occupied to be thinking about getting pregnant all the time!
I know my experience is different than yours, but I would just suggest trying to keep from being anxious about it as much as you can. Easier said than done, I know! Good luck!

IT took me 15 months to get pregnant with my daughter. around the 6 month point I got blood testing and it was confirmed that I was ovulting and my husband got his testing and it was totally fine. So we kept trying. When it hit the 12 month mark I went to the RE. The following month I had an HSG test done and I got pregnant my next cycle. Sometimes the HSG can increase fertility.
Needless to say I was concerned about trying for number 2. Well one oops night when we werent even trying and we were pregnant.
So my advice would be that you just never know what will happen. Since you were able to get pregnant on your own which means most likely everything is working in there....I would just start trying when you are ready....Since you haven't been trying yet I wouldnt worry yet
Bottom line is...your probably going to worry anyway
I am very sorry for your losses.
Also ttc and I thought it would be easier this time around. I hear so many stories from people who get pregnant right away ttc for the 2nd time like all the previous posters. I have not had that experience. I was off BC for a year and half before we were able to concieve the first time -- it was about 9 months of actively trying.
I was nursing so I stopped once I had a big enough freezer stash to get my LO to the year mark since I never got my period. We have never been preventing since I had LO. Once I weaned I did opks and I started seeing my acupuncturist (which helped me getting pg with my first) and no luck that cycle. I'm 3 weeks into cycle 2 and I still havent ovulated. I know I'm practically just starting but it is even more depressing than the first time trying because I know how long it can take and I'm not getting any younger. And it seems like all my sisters and sils get pregnant just thinking about it. ugh
good luck
It took us 3 years to get pg with #1. (with the help of infertility treatment)
We are starting to TTC for #2 shortly and it scares the crap out of me...
because In those 3 years our marriage changed so much it really took a toll on our relationship. I do not want to get to that level again. Im hoping ttc# 2 is easier because we already are blessed with one great child.
So I have no advise...just share them same scarey feelings as you!
