LC may not be a lucky charm

So I had my 6 month check up today.

because the placenta hasn't migrated (I'm 25w4d) and is still completely over my birth canal, my dr. said I'm looking at more likely than not a c-section. She doesn't want me to go into labor so the tentative csection date is around feb. 20 when I'll be 37 weeks.

so LC may not be a march baby after all...

I asked her about the chances of migrating and she wasn't optimistic. If it was partial, then she would have a different diagnosis.

so that's where we are. She said me going into labor is more dangerous to me and the baby than delivering the baby early. So they have to time it so it's not too early but not too late....

I told MH we cold call LC "ashbaby" for ash Wednesday, but he said it doesn't have the same ring as "LC/lucky charm" hahahaha

I feel ok. I've done lots of praying & reflecting and I'm at peace. Soooo more cook baby cook for this little ashbaby/lucky charm! =)

    sorry things aren't as planned but i am glad you are ok with it.  the changes of a complete previa migrating are pretty slim vs a partial.  i had a partial previa that did end up migrating eventually but i can't remember when that was...maybe 24 wks?? the scheduled c/s is definitely the safer option b/c if you go into labor and the placenta is disrupted you could bleed out.  not to scare you or anything and not to say that i am an ob but i agree w/their plan.  cook, baby, cook! :)

    I feel you. I've already been told I'll likely need a C/S. I'm also learning to be at peace with it. Whatever it takes to get a healthy baby. Keep cooking, LC!

    He may not be born in March but he's still your lucky charm! Or at least I think so :) Good luck with the previa and remember to take care of yourself so you can keep growing LC as long as possible!

    I'm glad you seem to be at peace about the c/s (I can understand having to come to terms with it), and he's going to be awesome no matter when he's born! Cook, little dude!
