DD was sooooo close to eating this gross hairy dust ball. I think I startled DD because I yelled "EW, GROSS, NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" and grabbed it out of her hand. I know DD has eaten stuff off the floor like old Cheerios and what not but from what I know of no foreign objects!
Re: What has your LO eaten that is not food?
My DH just informed me that DS almost ate a battery today. They were playing in our office and I guess DS came across one while DH was balancing the check book.
I'm sure he ate a dust / cat hair ball before. He's really fast.

Lol, DD has just about put a rock in her mouth before I stopped her on a couple of occassions.
DD found a piece that had broken off of a whicker basket before and almost ate it...They are so quick!

sand! at the beach this summer and at the park. I freak out out every time and try to catch her but somehow some makes it in and she starts to cry because of my reaction!
Also she got into her water humidifier and licked some calcium deposit that built up. We just use water in her humidifier but I called poison control thinking it could be mold or something. They said it was just the water deposit (based on my description) and says she will be perfectly fine and she was!
Ok, I think the LO that ate the rock takes the cake!
So glad he was ok!! You gotta wonder how that felt coming out the other end!! lol
Dog Hair! DD started picking individual pieces of it off the carpet and putting them in her mouth. She then discovered that they stick to the felt pads on the bottom of the dining room chairs and she can get a bunch of dog hair (and who knows what else) at once. Now she just crawls up to the dog and pulls out a handful or two.
Pieces of carpet - she figured out that our shag type carpet can be pulled apart in the doorway and she can get little yarn pieces from it. I am not sure she has actually swollowed any of it (and we put down a threshold to fix the problem now).
I have pulled part of a ladybug out of her mouth too (I am pretty sure that it was dead already and came up from the basement on the bottom of a shoe. I hope that she did not eat the rest of it and only put the part I fished out in her mouth. I am also pretty sure she ate an ant.
Leaves, grass and probably other things off the grass.
Yup - she puts EVERY.DAMN.THING in her mouth!
Dead ladybug. Well I think it was dead.
