How are you going to do it? Santa doesn't wrap stuff at our house, but I want DS to have gifts to open. I'm trying my best to keep the amount of gifts to a minimum. He currently has four big gifts and some smaller stuff to put in his stocking. DH wants to limit Santa to 3 gifts (like the 3 wiseman brought Jesus). Should I switch that to us and let Santa bring him one big gift? I'm probably making too big a deal of this, but what are you ladies doing?
Re: If you are getting LO stuff from you AND Santa...
My DH and I are now arguing about this subject thanks to this thread! Arg
I come from the tradition that all gifts come from santa.
My DH comes from idea that santa give some gifts and parents give others. Oh, and he also likes having special santa paper for santa gifts. That sounds like too much work.
All gifts from santa takes the stress out of figuring how to divide the gifts and not having to worry about making sure you have enough paper for each groups, IMHO. I also never noticed growing up that gifts from my parents were not there. Ugh - I guess we have another year to figure this all out.
It's simple for us, this year at least. DS is getting a radio flyer wagon, it's huge, so that's going to be from Santa so that I don't have to wrap it, and DH can put the wheels on it the night before after DS goes to bed!
I grew up in a house where the gifts were divided, and Santa didn't wrap. I think a good rule of thumb is anything that needs assembly, comes from Santa, that way you can put it together before Christmas morning, so the kids can play with it as soon as they get it.
