Question about air travel and gate checking

We're planning to gate check our stroller (maclaren umbrella) and DD's infant seat (+/- the base). Should we get a bags to put them in?

Does BRU sell this kind of stuff in the store?

thanks!

Re: Question about air travel and gate checking

  • We didn't buy bags.  We took big garbage bags, but ended up not using them.  If we would have checked them we probably would have, but it wasn't a big deal with gate check.

  • We did, but we fly a lot and see how they handle stuff.  Plus, it's a lot easier to carry a car seat through the airport if it's in a bag.  The one we have can be worn like a backpack.

And yes, BRU (at least the one closest to us) does sell them in-store.

  • not necessary, but BRU does sell them.

I guess I should also add that we used our snap and go stroller, so we used the car seat and stroller right up until we boarded and as soon as we got off.

  • We kept the heavy clear plastic cover (with a handle) for traveling with our car seat.  We usually don't put a bag on the stroller.
