I did not, and I'm glad I didn't. Sure, they twist and turn once in a while, but I like having the option of just wearing the band...especially now in glove season where wearing tighter (like leather) gloves makes my e-ring dig into my finger.
It comes in handy, too, when giving Ella a bath other other kid-related stuff where a pokey e-ring just isn't practical.
I did and I am SO glad. My e-ring has a line of small diamonds on either side of the big one and my band has those same diamonds but all the way across. It would drive my batty if they didn't line up. I got them soldered right away so I never lived with them separately but I have never had a day where I wished that they weren't together.
My knuckles are kind of big compared to the ring-part of my finger... my rings can individually fit over the knuckle just fine, but if I try to do them both at once, it's really tough. That alone was reason enough to not get them soldered.

I did, but my band was specifically designed to be paired with my e ring. I would not be able to wear it alone- it would look ridiculous. I had them soldered before the wedding even.
I did, because the design on my e-ring goes all the way down on the sides and it would be covered up by a wedding ring. So we decided to have a wedding band on either side of the e-ring. The jeweler raised up the e-ring and soldered the wedding bands on either side. I love how it looks, but I definitely wish I had just band to wear sometimes. Like now, when my ring doesn't fit
Yes, because I always wear them together so I dont' have to worry about 2 rings. (note that my wedding ring can't be worn on it's own b/c of the design)
This is my ring, with a squared bottom. The matching band is also squared. They were annoying as sep rings, plus they beat each other up, and scratched the heck out of each other.
However, they are SO heavy together. I now have arthritis in that finger.
If you have heavy platinum rings, maybe make sure you consider the weight. There are times I want them separate.
I never did and I'm glad. I like the option of just wearing my wedding band, which I do often. Also, like Lauren said, sometimes it's just not practical to be wearing my engagement ring too.
Mine twist and turn, but it doesn't really bother me.
My engagement ring is pretty unique and not a traditional shape and we bought 2 bands to go with it because it looked better than one. We had them soldered together and I'm soooo glad.

I guess if I were you, I'd wear it for a while without soldering. Because the way I understand it, once you solder, it's really not possible to undo it.
I finally got mine soldered over Thanksgiving and am so happy now that they are. My wedding band was custom made to fit around the swirl of my ering and without the solder they drove me batty. If you aren't sure, do like Lauren suggested and wear them for a month or two without and then you can decide if you want to. I can't imagine not having them soldered.

See how it goes - you can always solder later.
This!!
