I hate wine too. I thought it was just because until recently I'd only had cheap wine. When we went to Ruths Chris, I had a $150 bottle of wine. I hated that too.
I not only hate wine, but I also hate beer.
It took me a while to like wine (I love it now). I dont care for red, sweet whites are yummy though.
I hate it too.
I really really want to like it.. and I'm always trying sips of it in hopes i'll find one that i like.. but negative.

I've tried to like alcohol, I really have. I've tried expensive stuff, I've tried cheap Arbor Mist type stuff and I hate it all. I can drink beer occasionally, but even then I can't finish all of it. If I'm in the mood, I can have something fruity with barely any alcohol flavor.
I don't hate wine, but I don't like it much at all. I tolerate whites...I guess I do hate reds

I grew up getting a small glass of wine for special occasions starting around age 12. It's not a big deal in Europe like it is here 
Yet despite getting great wine and having time to develop a palate for it, I just don't like it. My grandpa has an amazing wine cellar and I can tell how disappointed he is when I refuse his offer. Ha, I almost feel bad because it's such an important culture thing for him. I just can't like it. I wish I did...but I don't.

Couldn't not post a little blurb...I work in the wine biz and people ask me all the time how to "get into" wines because they feel the need at least know a little bit for social occasions, but really don't like the taste.
The truth is that you develop a taste for wine in stages, and it's hard to just jump into liking red wines....you have to train your taste buds with time and experience. So if you're interested at all in doing that, here's what I would recommend trying (in order and over time.)
Start with Moscato, Riesling, or White Zinfandel--these are sweet and easy to drink.
Move to Sparkling-- Some sparkling is sweet, some dry...make sure you ask when you buy and stay away from the really dry ones.
Then whites or "AlternaReds" (red blends that have a sweeter style).
Start to like these and you can move on to the heavier styles.
It took me about 6 years to start to really like every type of wine, and there are still some I don't prefer, but everyone is different! Also, don't forget that wines are meant to be enjoyed with food and not just as a cocktail.
Probably too much info, so sorry about the soapbox, but I thought y'all might want to know!
There are only a few wines that I like to drink and only with meals, not alone. I am not a person who loves all wine. In general, I am not a fan of sweet drinks with or w/o alcohol. You'll never see me with a fruity mixed drink.

I thought this too. Everyone always told me that I ony hated it because I'd never had good wine. Well, I hate the super expensive wine that we had on our anniversary.
Sammy Smith's Oatmeal Stout any day though. Mmmmmm beer.
I like blackberry Arbor Mist and that's about it. I could never drink another alcoholic beverage in my life and I'd be okay.
My DH works for a local brewery and I don't drink beer and he will drink a one once a month....we have beer cases stacking our garage walls because we get free stuff all the time. I'm pretty sure 90% of our friends are just in it for the beer
