PSA--military package deadline

Just realized that if you're sending a package to a deployed military person, they have to be mailed by the 4th to get there in time for the holidays.

Gotta getta move on!!

Re: PSA--military package deadline

  • Would love to do this.  I'll google it and see if I can find any info...but if you have a specific organization you're using...please post.  Thanks:)

  • I don't have an organization... I just sent a couple of flat rate shipping boxes directly to DH's cousin who is in Afghanistan right now.

But I bet if you contact any local veterans groups, they can hook you up with some soldiers who love a little something in the mail!

It's really easy to send stuff.... Get flat rate boxes from the PO, send a bunch of non-perishable stuff.. beef jerky, drink mixes, sunflower seeds, hard candies.. nothing that could melt or be broken into a million pieces.    At the PO, you have to fill out a customs form to say what's int he box, which takes about a minute.  That's it.
