Parenting after 35

No poopie for 3 days...

Is this odd? We started her on solid foods about 4 weeks ago and she's a day without pooping, but not 3 days. She's in a really good mood and doesn't seem constipated, but I know there is junk in there that needs to come out. She's tootin' like a choo-choo train! If Mr. Poopie doesn't show himself tomorrow I'm calling the pedi.

  • Prunes!  Give her prunes.

Just be warned that sometimes they work too well.

Seriously, though, Aaron got constipated frequently.  And we still have to give him prunes every few days to keep things moving.

  • Prunes should ease your mind!  Like Robyn said, though, be careful with 'em.  A little goes a long way.

  • Or pears, they work too!
  • Keep a chart and call your pedi.. everyone is differerent
  • Avoid binding foods for awhile (yellow and orange foods) and focus and 'P' foods and green veggies. D went through this around 5 months and this is what the pedi told me. And yeah - prunes REALLY do work!

  • I agree with everyone else. Grab some stage 1 or 2 prunes or pears. That should do it.

Had to laugh at "tootin' like a choo-choo train!" :)

  • Thanks everyone! I gave her pears this morning and I'm making some prune puree right now. Hopefully this will do the trick.
