I don't remember how long it lasted but I remember at 5-1/2 months PP I had bald spots like I had a majorly receding hair line. By August I had one inch tufts of hair like someone had cut locks of it off right at the corners of my hair line on my forehead.

AGHHH!! Needless to say this might get really bad before it gets any better.

Oh, Michelle! I'm so sorry!
I experienced with both babies...but never to the extent that you could look at me and tell I was losing hair. I can't remember how long it lasted the first time - maybe five months post-partum?
I lost mine during my first trimester, the first few months after giving birth, and then for another few months when I stopped breastfeeding. My stylist said it would probably continue off and on for the first year.
I swear I had sideburns because of the hair I lost that was coming back in. They are now long enough for me to tuck behind my ears, but it was bad.
So sorry you are going through this.

Mine still falls out a lot but less than it was a few months ago. I attribute it to the fact that I'm still breastfeeding. I'm sure when I stop my hormones will finally level off again.

This is a good point. I had to wean at 6-1/2 months and it seemed to get better after that.
This is the only shot I can think of off the top of my head that shows it. I have a big forehead, but round the corners about an inch and that is what it looks like now, lol!

mine was awful. Worse than Michelle. I couldn't pull my hair back at all... total bald, but right there in the corners of my forehead only.... (this only happened with #2). Lila is 19 months and the hair is now about 3-4" long and gray. Not to scare you, but 50% of mine grew back "more mature".

This was about my experience too. After my 2nd, it was almost a year and a half before it started really growing back. It still isn't as thick as it used to be, and what did grow back included a lot of gray squigglies.
But I know that isn't at all usual, so don't freak out!
i think it was a month or two. i don't remember when it started, but i do remember the feeling of hair washing down my back as i would rinse (gross!) and i could have made myself a nice little wig out of it all.

ACK! I"m already grey enough, I don't need help.
Mine is still coming out like mad. Fortunately I have a ton of hair already so it isn't super noticeable, although I can definitely feel it, especially on the back of my head. My DH keeps asking why I'm drowning kittens in the bathroom every time I wash my hair. The amoutn that comes out is ridiculous.

I have sideburns too. I just wanted to add, if you have any history of thyroid problems, go get your thyroid checked. My pp hair loss had stopped, then it started up again-- the second shed was due to my synthroid dose being too low.
My big boy is bounding towards 4! Baby brother coming in October!
That's unfortunately not the worst of it... just the only picture I had handy that showed it. After it kept shedding I didn't pull it back any more! But I think it is also more noticeable if you have dark hair. I had wispys I could pull down to hide the spot and it just looked like my hair was lighter right there for some reason. It was more noticeable when it started growing back and I had little devil horns because that's also where I have cowlicks, lol. (Oh and the spot in the middle that kept falling out - a little unicorn horn too). Especially on the right (or the left on the pic).
My hair also grew back curly underneath. It's naturally wavy, but the waves were tight waves like the 1920's flappers that pressed the waves in, and would twist easily into ringlets. But the top layer was still wavy - SUPER annoying! It was also darker, and had more red in it for a while.
Most of the red has fallen out and I'm a sort of dishwater dark blonde or light brunette (see sig pic below which is sort of lightened too). And the curl has since grown out/been cut out too.

I literally had bald spots. I think it lasted for about 3 months. Use Nioxin because it has helped me with new hair growth and I have bangs again! It was funny having clumps of baby hair growing out though.
