DD is swaddled before going down at 9 pm, but after I unswaddle her to feed her during the night, reswaddling is a pain. She often gets really awake as I do it and then tries to pull her arms out of the swaddle. Thinking of using a sleep sack instead...if you use one, do you leave in on throughout the feeding? (i assume so.) Just trying to make it easier to lull her back to sleep.

At first she was having a hard time waking up to eat so I would unswaddle her and change her just to get her to wake up a bit before I fed her. Now that's become our routine, although last night her 3am diaper was dry and clean, so maybe I don't need to change her each time. I just worry about her sitting in a wet/dirty diaper.
She is starting to break free of her swaddle, so I'm thinking about trying a sleep sack with the swaddle wrap. I do have to unswaddle her to eat because it's hard to burp her effectively while she's swaddled.
Swaddling has been such a lifesaver for us! We use the Aiden & Anais lightweight swaddling blankets and are able to get them pretty tight. It's been the key to getting her to sleep get through those light sleep states at night and put herself back to sleep. We are getting up 2x each night to nurse and I unswaddle her to change her diaper and nurse her. She doesn't nurse well when swaddled and I find the positioning difficult, too. I burp her and let her fall asleep on my chest and when she seems pretty well asleep I get up and swaddle her, then walk laps in the house for 5-10 minutes until she is asleep again.
I try to remember to lay out the swaddling blanket before I start nursing so I can get up and lay her on it without an additional step in between.
This is what I do as well. Works really well for us
