I need help! I found this cool vinturi wine aerator at Red Envelope for my mom and stepdad! They are so hard to shop for, but they love wine so I think this would be a cool gift. But...you have to choose between red and white. I'm thinking red, but I don't which one they drink more of. Thoughts?
Re: Wine enthusiasts
If they drink both then I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I'm a red wine drinker so I vote for that!
Can you share a link? I'm looking for one for a friend! Thanks!

Here is another gift suggestion as well. There is a 20% off code for Kohls and free shipping code going on right now.

Also another wine aerator that is less expensive.

I agree with this. Most whites, except for your super expensive bottles of white Burgandy that you might age, don't need much air compared to red. I'd definitely go with the red.

Is there a difference in the way it aerates? They look the same except white or black bands around them. We have the one with the black band to aerate our wine, and mostly use it for red, but it wouldn't be a catastrophe if it was used once and awhile for the white.
Check out other sites too, they can be found everywhere, including Bed Bath and Beyond.
my read shelf:
Red, Whites don't need to be aerated. From personal experience aged reds sometimes can take a little while after being poured to "open up". I have never had to have a white be decanted, aerated or strained for sediment.
This is what I was thinking but I wasn't positive until now.
