Pregnant after a Loss

Had my first 'true' meltdown last night with DH

I was a blubbering mess.  Poor guy.  I was upset because I felt that it was only me that thought that baby was coming as I've been the only one to think of names, look at cribs, go to BRU, etc.

He's working on his 'man cave' (garage) and wants to get it done before the baby comes so it's nice a clean - he says he's 'man nesting'.  But to me for some reason it seemed that it was just me that trying to get prepared for the baby.  I'm starting to stress out and I know, I know....we still have plenty of time.  It's just my personality to want to get things done on my list now if I can.

I let him know how I was feeling and I have to say....I have the most wonderful husband.  He was so understanding and didn't make fun of my emotional, hormonal breakdown.  Said that I need to tell him these things even if it's over the top. Otherwise, I'll bottle it up and have a pregnancy snap and go all bat sh!t on him - then what's he suppose to do then?  I laughed and said 'Maybe you'd have to go stay at the fire station'.  All is better now, we are going to enjoy the holidays then hit the ground running on baby things.

Geesh - gotta love the hormones.

  • I've been crying like that off and on throughout this pregnancy.  There are just days where the most random things will make me cry.  Last night it was over stuffing.  That's right.  Stuffing.  Thank goodness for DHs that are understanding and good to us.

  • What a wonderful DH.  :)  Glad he was able to take it in stride & help you come up with a plan that you both can pitch in on.  (And you'll have a lot fewer distractions after the holidays, too!)

Go DH!  Definite brownie points!  :)

  • (((hugs))) I think we all have those little moments. I'm so glad your dh was understanding about it. Smile
