Parenting after 35

And so it begins...

...just heard through the grapevine that they are cutting our dental insurance and our retirement fund.  Heard it from the office manager, so it is a sure thing.  In addition, there will be no raises again this year.  Much more to this story, but don't want to bore you.  Not a great start for the New Year......

Sorry to vent - had to get it off of my chest before it drove me crazy.....

Re: And so it begins...

  • Ick. DH's company just increased our insurance - by double. I don't know about bonuses yet, so I am still crossing my fingers. But even scarier - another company is trying to take over the company and it looks like jobs will be affected next fall.

    So, I feel ya'!

  • That sucks!  Sometimes it is hard to be thankful for a job.. I was laid off at this time three years ago (I am still bitter).

Rg insurance.. hopefully families like ours are not the cause (see my post below) of insurance going up ; (

I found out via Presidential press conference the other day that I won't be getting a raise for a while.

  • Dude, that sucks.  I'm sorry you are stuck with a crappy deal.
    DD1 is 3, DD2 is 1.
  • I feel your pain. Last year we were notified in November that our yearly deductible for 2010 would go up from $5200 to $7250! Yes, two months before delivery were had to figure out how to budget and extra 2k for L's birth.

    So not fun!
