We got ours at Wal Mart. They were pretty cheap - I think it's their Garanimals brand. He loves them.

By "wooden blacks" do you mean wooden blocks? LOL. I have some hand me down Melissa and Doug ones that he likes to play with.

I bought some wooden blocks from the dollar store. I am going to give them to DS for Christmas. They were different shapes and colors. Some blocks had the ABC's on them as well. I'm pretty excited about it!

DD has a bunch of them. I got her some Melissa and Doug ones for Christmas last year and she got a wagon of alphabet blocks for her birthday. I think my niece and her mom bought them at Wal-Mart.
