Auto insurance: Progressive or Allstate?

Which one is better and why? We got a new car and my Nationwide went up $60/month. Progressive and Allstate are very similar in price (within a few dollars). TIA!

    Not sure which is "better" but we have Allstate and are happy with them.

    I don't know anything about Allstate.  We switched from Geico to Progressive and pay $659.64 every six months.

    ETA:  Allstate has the best commercials though.

    We have Allstate. Our 3 vehicles, DH's motorcycle, and our house are with them and we have no complaints.

    I don't know who is "better". Progressive was a lower price quote than Allstate and every other company so that's who we went with.

    I love Allstate. We have 2 trucks and our house with them..OUr two trucks full coverage for one, liability for the other is $60/month. No problems thus far.

    I work in insurance and I think they're both fine. I'd go with whoever's cheaper.
