Daycare question

Do you bring a diaper bag every day or just leave things at the DC?  Dylan only goes one day a week, but she said we could leave a pack of diapers, change of clothes, formula and a couple of bottles there instead of dragging stuff back and forth all of the time.

Re: Daycare question

  • We leave food, diapers, wipes, pacis and some clothes there and just bring a small bag each day with his prepared bottles. It works well and daycare lets us know when he is running low on supplies.

  • I always took a diaper bag to and from everyday, but it was a bag I only used for dc.

It's a control thing with me; I needed to see what was / wasn't used everyday. It was not a hassle to me at all, restocking it was just a part of my routine.

I did leave bottles at daycare though, and I would not do that again either. Bad, bad, bad experience.

  • We just leave everything there and replenish/replace when needed.  They send her bottle and blanket home on Fridays to wash and then I bring them back on Monday.

  • we only go one day also. We leave diapers and wipes since she requires we supply them. I also leave some extra formula, rice cereal, baby food, and puffs. We send his baby bag with him also though, just in case she needs anything else. Plus then we have the bag with DS if we go anywhere afterwards or if theres an issue while we're on our way home.

  • Our daycare provides everything except formula, so we leave a can there and send fresh bottles of water each day.  They measure and mix. It's very convenient

Oh, we also leave a couple changes of clothes there and replenish when she soils them.

  • Ours might different because he is in a center 5 days a week, but we pretty much have everything there: diapers, wipes, change of clothes, a blanket (which we take back on Fridays), and a paci.  We mix up and take his formula daily with one bottle that they wash throughout the day (others take bottles filled with power daily and the school just adds water to each one).  For solids right now we left a box of rice cereal there and are sending veggies each day.  Once he eats more veggies/fruits (and I get to the grocery store :) ) I'll probably stock them up with a few jars at a time too.  They let us know when he needs more diapers or wipes.
  • DS only goes 2 days a week but we leave a change of clothes, some diapers and wipes, paci, and a blanket there. He has a little backpack that we take back and forth each time where we put his food and bottles for the day.

  • We leave diapers, wipes, change of clothes, a blanket there.  We take bottles every day because I pump into them.
  • Our daycare provides diapers and wipes (we pay a supply fee for it each month) so we don't have to keep those up there.  DD has a little cubby that we keep her stuff in.  We keep extra clothes, her snacks, extra formula in case she needs an extra bottle on any given day, etc.  I carry a bottle bag each morning and leave it in the cubby and her teacher puts the empty bottles in that bag for me to bring home to wash each night.

  • We leave everything there and she emails me when we are getting low on something.
