Gifts for/"tipping" day care provider???

Help please - I use an in home care provider for my child care, for those of you that also do that, what are you guys buying for a gift? Also, if not a gift, are you giving a cash "tip"? I was thinking a percentage of what I pay monthly or a nice gift certificate to eat out somewhere. Thoughts???

Last year I did a week's pay as a cash tip.

This year I'm going to give her 2 weeks pay, because we are doing better financially this year than we were last year.

I do cash instead of a gift card, because I figure that *I* would rather have cash, especially around the holidays.

In the past I've done a Macy's gc or Starbucks and a nice bottle of wine.
