Trouble TTC

And another intro..

Hi. My name is Nichol. I'm 31, and I'm on cycle 7 of TTC #1. I have endometriosis pretty bad and after seeing my PCP yesterday as a checkup on my hypothyroidism I asked him a few questions about TTC. He recommended I see my GYN now about fertility testing because of the endo even though it hasn't been a year. I know I'll have lots of questions coming up about the testing to come but I wanted to introduce myself now. I'm a bit nervous about whats to come but trying not to worry about it too much.

So a little bit more about me, I've recently retired on disability (broke my arm and wrist & didn't heal enough to go back to  firefighting) from the fire department where I was a firefighter/paramedic. I'm in massage therapy school now and should get my license in the spring. So for now I'm a stay at home wife while I finish school and really enjoying it.

I look forward to some good conversations and learning a lot from you all!

  • Welcome from a fellow massage therapist. :)  I hope you can get some answers soon.  I would suggest seeing a reproductive endocrinologist rather than your GYN, since they have a lot more knowledge as the the appropriate testing and treatment for IF.  GL to you!

If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.

Well.... I have two 7month old orang tabby kittens I rescued from the SPCA when they were 4 weeks old. They're from the same litter, the girl is Remington (Remi for short) and the boy is Sig Sauer (Sig for short). I learned my lesson with this in never letting my husband name any of our pets again! I have a 4 year old cockapoo, Briar, and a 2 year old Jack RUssel/beagle/pointer mix named Jasper. It's a full house. I've recently come to the realization that my little girl Remi, thinks she's a dog. She's throws a fit until she's let into the back yard when the dogs go out (I put her in a harness and on a lead) and I caught her the other day digging a hole. She also loves playing with socks! Jasper was a stray I got from animal control when he was about 6 months old....he's afraid of the dark, I think from being a stray when he was so young. It's definitely interesting at my house! lol.
