Found out at my ultrasound today that we are having 2 babies! It twins. I did not expect this in any way. We are in complete shock. Just wanted to share our news.
I don't know the sex of the babies yet. We were team green, but have changed our minds. We may find out next week and reveal at xmas.

Re: In Shock
Woah! Congrats! Had you had any previous u/s's before 19 weeks? That WOULD be a shock! Now I am scared:)
OMG congrats!
How in the world did they just discover this?
So exciting!
In my bag: Canon 60D, 50mm 1.4, Tamron 28-75 2.8, 430exii
No, my doctor only does 2. One at 20ish weeks for measurements & one right before you deliver unless there are complications. (I will get more now to make sure they are growing properly
I did think I might be further along, but never expected this!!
That is so very exciting!
I'm a twin! Twins rock!
Go Phils!!
oh my! I'd be shocked too!
Congrats times two!
As a fellow MoMs, you will get asked this question a gozillion times. Just wanted to let you know that it only matters if twins run on your mother's side. DH's side has nothing to do with the likelihood of twins. It has to do with the probability of you releasing 2 eggs when you ovulate. If it turns out to be identicals, then those are just a fluke and have nothing to do with your genetics.
Congrats and definitely hop onto the Multiples board. There is a ton of great advice over there for you. (everything I put in that first paragraph is stuff I learned from those ladies!)
Oh, and make sure that you now get u/s more frequently. Some OBs aren't very experienced with multiples and treat them like a singleton pregnancy. I had u/s every 4 weeks until 28w and then every 2 weeks until 34w, then weekly until I delivered at 38w2d.
Wow. You are very informational!!! Thank you
I feel so uninformed on all of this. I need to google. lol.
