last year, work hosted a fancy schmancy holiday lunch for the admin staff at this place near-by called the Center Club.  (were talking nice.  mentioned on yelp that it is a "premier Members only Business & Social club")     Menu included everything:  Prime Rib, Lobster, etc...

this year we get an email inviting us to a holiday luncheon in a conference room on the 4th floor.   Bit of a downgrade, but whatever, they usually hire good caterers.

Yesterday we get an email that our Lunch is cancelled because they are hosting a holiday gathering the next day at the Center Club at 7pm and we are now invited to that in place of our lunch.     Yeah, that doesn't work for the people who actually need to go home after work.   Not to mention the 2 hours of time to kill between work and party.   Plus, it's "employee only".  No spouses or families.

No thanks.

    That is so lame.  I remember one year, our firm did that and all of the staff was complaining about the same thing since a lot of them had families to go home to. 

    I DO love me some Center Club though.  I always feel so fancy going there.

    11/10: IUI #1 =100mg Clomid CD4-8 + pregnyl trigger + IUI = chemical pregnancy
    1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
    2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN
    IVF #1 April 2011 ER 4/23 w/16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fert., 4 blasts to freeze, 5dt of 2 blasts on 4/28, beta #1 5/7 = 243... beta #2 5/9 = 491....beta #3 5/11 = 1113!!

    That is crap...seems like nobody up there in mang'mt can make a decision.

    My DH's place (lots of women) decided that they were going to have a get together one night after work and then proceeded to tell everyone that is was for only staff members and no spouses ect.....hummm call me jealous but what was the plan these "fine ladies" had? bitches. His choice but he didn't go and I was glad he came to that decision him self.

    TTC since 2009 very frustrated 42yr and DH 40

    5 cycles of Clomid with satisfactory response=BFN's
    Fibroid removal Nov2010
    IUI Clomid #1 Feb 2011...BFN..damn it!
    IUI Inject's #2 Apr 2011...CANCELLED...low estradiol
    IUI Inject's #3 June 2011...BFN
    IUI Inject's #4 Sept2011...BFFN
    Lap Dec 2011...severe endo..cyst removed..some remains...
    IVF#1 Apr 2012 ....cancelled due to over suppression
    IVF#2 July 2012....6 follies...only 1 retrieved....BFFN
    surgery suggested to move ovary to an better placement but....we moved two time zones away and are financially and emotionally empty
