My sister had her gall bladder removed a couple of years ago. She had a relatively speedy recovery, although she had to change some of her eating habits. You'll be fine!
Sorry you have to go through this, though. Surgery is never fun.
Oh no - sorry to hear this, but glad they were able to discover what was wrong. Here's hoping for a quick recovery - unless you'd like a small vacation away from home?
I am glad you are able to get it done now and not waiting until it is an emergency. The lap is pretty "easy" surgery and recovery - relatively speaking.

This, it's so true. You'll feel like crap the first week, but that's mostly due to the anesthesia, but then afterwards, you'll be SO glad you had it done...and i'm glad you are getting it done now. Here's to no more attacks!
PM me if you want to talk about it further or just talk at all. )

Been there, done that too. It is a very quick surgery. I had to be at the hospital at 6am and was back home in my house (an hour away from the hospital) at 3pm. PM me if you need to talk,

I had to have my gall bladder out about 6 weeks ago.
I was in a bit of a different situation then you as I had no idea I had gallstones until I had a week of back-to-back attacks that landed me in emergency twice before they decided to keep me there until they could fit me into surgery. I also had a kidney infection at the same time, so was really sick.
It's 6 weeks along and my scars are healing great and I don't have any pain.
