Anyone else measuring big? I am measuring at 37 weeks and am only 33! They are sending me for an ultrasound. Do they induce if you are measuring big? I'd rather not be induced!
Don't get worked up just yet. I was measuring big at my 18 and 20 week u/s but now I'm right on track. Unless the u/s shows you have an abnormally large baby fundal height can be effected by many things and is not always accurate.
I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead, but the doc said it wasn't a cause for concern. If I'm still measuring ahead at my appt next Thurs, they will do another u/s to check on LO, my fluid volume, etc.
I'm 36 weeks measuring 38-40!! My doc doesn't induce unless there is a medical reason to do so. I'm going for a 2 hour glucose test to see if I have gestation diabetes. It could also be genetics. H was almost 12 lbs at birth!

I was measuring big at 28 weeks, I was ahead by 3 weeks. They checked again at 32 weeks and I was measuring 36 weeks. They are inducing me but they are doing that only because I have GD and hypertension and both can cause placenta failure. I asked my doctor if they induce early just due to her size and they would only induce a week before due date and only at mothers request if it was just a size thing. But also I know a lot of people who measured ahead in one week and were right back to normal the following week. Good Luck!

WOW!! 12 lbs??? I was 6.15 when I was born and my DH was a premie and 5 lbs. My glucose test came back with perfect numbers a few weeks ago!

I'm measuring at 32 weeks, but am 29. I have an ultrasound scheduled, but it's more to determine whether there is excess fluid (or not) or whether it's just a big baby.
I wouldn't worry much about it at this point. *If* the baby is determined to be large, that doesn't necessarily mean that you will have trouble delivering or that you will have to be induced. Ultrasound weight measurements are notoriously inaccurate, so they're not the only determining factor in whether or not to induce.
I measured a couple weeks ahead throughout my first pregnancy and I think I'm a week ahead this time, but no worries. My BF measured big and had an ultrasound and it was due to a high volume of amniotic fluid. She said when her water broke, the size of her belly deflated by about half
I'm measuring 4+ weeks SMALL, they gave me an ultrasound and the baby was normal. 56% percentile. He said it was probably just because I'm carrying so low. I get another ultrasound next week to check again. You'll probably find out similar, that your baby is average, you are just carrying different than average.

I had an appointment today and was measuring 2-3 weeks ahead. My doctor is not worried about it at all. She said if it continues, they will give me a growth ultra sound at 37 weeks to check the size of the baby.
