Circut at Kroger

I know some of you were looking to buy a Circut recently so I wanted to let you know I saw them for sale at Kroger for $99 (with card of course.) I know nothing about the pricing on these machines but the sign said it was $100 off which seemed like a deal to me!

I passed a huge stack of these suckers on sale at Joann's on Friday for $60. I have no idea what I'd do with the thing, but now I'm feeling like maybe I should have bought one. I didn't realize what a great deal it was. I guess I was too focused on the 41 yards of flannel I got instead. (Yes, 41 yards, and I'll use all of it.)

I think $100 is still a good deal, but I'm sure others will know better than me.

After reading a little more research, it seems there have been deals on it for $60, $70 and $80...and not just on Black Friday. Like you said Lori, I'd be tempted to buy it for $60 but probably not much more since I don't really know how much use I'd get out of it.

It is basically a personal die-cut machine that cuts shapes and fonts. The cartridges retail for $40-$90 but usually you can get them on sale for half that.

The small one is the one that the pp's mentioned. $60-$80 is a way good deal. They are making larger ones that do a lot more, so the little compact ones are being phased out less, although they are just as useful.

I scrapbook, but I've also used mine for school projects, making DS's ABC/Shape/123 book, and party things.

It also cuts vinyl (for wall clings, etc.) and some fabrics too.

Some of the cartridges are totally adorable and have so many possibilities of things you can do. If you google "cricut images" you'll definitely see all that people do with them.

So I've kinda wanted one for a long time, but never enough to spend that kind of money. Now I'm tempted especially since DH has no clue what to get me for Christmas. Can you do all the things you mentioned (party stuff, school stuff, wall clings) with a smaller one?

I have the small one and it does all of that stuff, the Expression machine just allows it all to be done a little easier and you can make things bigger (12 x 12 where the small one is 6 x 12)
