I just finished up that Wood Wick Pumpkin Butter candle- it lasted forever! So this weekend, I picked up a couple from B&BW while they had their 3 wick candles on sale for 2 for $20. DH prefers sweet smelling cookie ones but they make me nauseaus (pg or not!). I prefer spicy cinnamon ones but he hates those. So we settled on "Winter" and I love it! Smells like we're burning a fire but we're not :-) What are your favorites?
Re: Winter candles?
I use PartyLite Candles but I got some the other day that are sugarplum faires and I wasn't sure about them, but I really like them!
My other favorite is cinnamon sticks, DH likes vanilla so I got him some vanilla creme ones that are pretty good also.
He would love the burning fire smell!
I'm not much for candles, but when I find one I like, I go nuts. My most recent fave was one of the Liberty of London candles from Target. I think the scent was something like Orange Spice Tea or something. I bought 8 of them. And they weren't cheap. I have one in almost every room of the house.
One of my current favorites is another Target find: Mrs. Meyer's soy candles. They have two holiday scents out and they burn forever. Orange Clove is fabulous and I got a pine scent for closer to Christmas.

I have pine smelling ones that I got years ago at Saks by Slatkin and Co. I only light them at Christmas time (so when I decorate this weekend, I'll put them out and light them from time to time). Even I can't believe they are still kicking around.
I also love B&BW praline candles. They are sweet smelling, but they smell like christmas to me. I would burn it all year.
And I love Yankee Candle pine candles. I was so bummed I didn't get a chance to make it to the Yankee Candle Company while I was in MA. They have the most beautiful Christmas village too.
This is the description from their website and I think it perfectly describes how it smells. I couldn't pinpoint all the various smells but they blend perfectly together.
Inspired by freshly fallen snow, perfect holiday getaways and the ultimate winter wonderland, Winter is a festive blend of shimmering pine, crisp bay leaf, orange clove and warm winter woods.
