What time are you putting LO to bed?

I'm putting him to bed between 8:45-9:15? Does that seem late?

He gets home around 5:30-6:00 from daycare.

Re: What time are you putting LO to bed?

  • Between 7-7:30  We get home around 4:30 or 5.  He needs 12 hours of sleep.

  • I think it depends on his schedule.  My DS goes to bed between 7:30-8.  He's up around 6:45 every morning and takes one 2 hour nap from 12:00- 2 and gets home around 6 as well.
  • He goes to bed at 8.  We get home from daycare at 4:30.
  • The girls get home around 5:15 and are in bed anywhere between 7:15 and 7:30.

  • Between 6:30-7pm, we get home around 5pm.
  • Home from daycare at 5pm in bed sometime between 7 and 7:30 sleeps till 7 am.  He still takes two naps most days.  I am lucky I have a great sleeper.  But boy when he is awake, he is all over the place!
  • 7 pm.

I really think it all depends on your child. There is no possible way I could get mine to stay up later. She's just tired by 7. Just do what is right for your child. I don't think there is any perfect time for kids to go to bed.

  • Around 7:30, give or take half an hour depending (on whether we're out in the evening, how well they napped, etc.). They sleep about 12 hrs at night.

  • 7:30-8, wakes up around 7a and naps for around 2hrs/day. My LO needs to go down at 7:30-8 though because unless he is sleeping he is literally running around all day long.

  • 8-8:30. Sometimes we will lay in bed until 9 but not often.
  • Usually between 7:30 and 8.  He was just hanging out last night around 7:30 and then grabbed his blankie and pointed to his bed and said "nigh nigh".  So I guess he was tired!

  • "They" say kiddos need 14-16 hours of sleep a day until they hit, what, 2-years-old?

Our LO is in her crib from 6:30-6:45ish to 7:15am ish every day, then takes a two or three hour nap around noon.

We used to keep her up late (when she was really little) and she'd sleep late, but it seemed to totally mess with her day time sleep. When we started putting her down at 6:30pm we saw a HUGE improvement in her daytime and nighttime sleep.

  • We're on about the same schedule... he goes to bed around 8:30, and gets up around 7:30 or 8. This works well for our family. I get home from work around 7, and so if DS went to bed much earlier I'd never see him! And I don't need to be at work until 9:30 so the later morning is better.

  • 7:30.  She doesn't usually last much later than that.  She's usually walking around with a blanket, signing for milk and saying "nigh, nigh" around 7:15.  She gets up at 6am and usually has two 1.5-2hr naps per day.

  • DS goes to bed between 9-9:15. I do feel like its a little late but he sleeps until I wake him up at 8am. And he still takes two,two hour naps a day. I wouldnt worry about it, if it isnt broke dont fix it IMO
  • DS starts getting tired around 7:30, so usually start bath between 7:30 and 8:00 and he's in bed by 8:45 most nights.  He set his own schedule when he was younger.  He still sleep 12+ hours each night.
  • Between 8:30 and 9:00.  I cannot get the child in bed any earlier or he screams until 8:30 or 9:00.  Do what works for you and your kid.

  • It does seem late to me but we reach meltdown by 7pm, if not I'd maybe let her stay up later. She naps in the car on the way home from daycare between 5-5:30 and then it's dinner, bath, books and then bed at 7pm. She wakes about 6am.

  • She goes to bed 8:00 and sleeps until about 5:00. I guess if I pushed her bedtime back she'd sleep longer, but I really need some time to decompress before bed at night.
  • Grace is entering her 2nd REM cycle by 915. She goes down at 7pm :)

  • DD goes to bed around 9-9:30, wakes at 7ish.  Takes a 2 hour nap around 12.  She won't go to bed earlier, but honestly I love this... I get to see her so much more.  We get home from work/babysitter at 5:30.

  • We go upstairs between 7-7:15.  Depending on whether its a bath night or if we need to read 5 books, I am normally back downstairs about 7:45/8 at the latest.  I think the earlier she goes to bed teh better though.  If I start after 7:30, its a total cluster.

  • Usually around 6:45pm.  DD sleeps until 5:45-6:15am most days and barely naps at daycare, so she's usually yawning when we get home from daycare at 5:45.  If only she'd nap at daycare, she'd probably get to stay up a bit later at night.

9pm seems late to me, but you have to do what works for you.
