Any other 35weekers dilated/effaced?

I had my 35 week appointment today. Normally they probably don't do internals but I told them I was having a lot of discharge that was clear so they just wanted to make sure it wasn't amniotic fluid. It wasn't. Which is good. But they did say that I am dilated 2cm and 50% effaced. My Dr. did not put me on bedrest but said to "take it easy" and not have sex for the next week. She wants me to make it to at least 36 weeks. I was not prepared for this!! Anyone else have similar situation?? According to what I have read being dilated this early doesn't really mean much because I could stay at 2 until 40 weeks, just curious if anyone else is experiencing this.

I know I'm 2-3cm, but she didn't mention anything about effacement. She just said the baby's head is really low.

I have my first internal on Thursday, so I'll know if I have progress then. I wouldn't worry about it too much, my cousin walked around at 4 cm for 3-4 weeks until they decided to break her water on her due date.

as of last week, everything was "high and tight" so basically no. My next appt is next Tuesday so I'll find out if anything has changed.

I am not 35w yet but a week before thanksgiving I was a loose 1cm and 70% effaced. At my appt yesterday, I was 2cm and 80% effaced. I am on bedrest until dec 7 when I will be almost 36 weeks.

I've been 1cm dialated and 50% effaced since 29 weeks....I go again next weeks so we'll see if anythings changed, but I've been on bedrest so probably not

Not dilated, but lost my MP a little over a week ago and am 70% effaced. I am also on the "take it easy" type rest. No sex until 37 weeks.

If I remember correctly I was 2cm with DD at 35 weeks and I wasn't told anything. We didn't do any internals after that since we found her breech then and so I opted out but she made it to week 39, when we did the c/s, with no "bedrest".

Last week at my 34 week appointment, I was 1 cm 80% effaced and the her head was at the -3 station. I had just gone to the triage on the Sunday before my Wednesday appointment and I was dilated at all so I started my weekly appointments. Was told to take it easy but I work 12 hour shifts and I'm on my feet all day so I'm curious to see tomorrow if I've progressed at all. Trying not to get my hopes up either but doctor seems to think that she'll be here in Dec. as well!

I just had an internal when I went to L&D the other day. I wasn't dilated but the NP said nothing about effacement so I have no idea. I have my regular OB appointment on Monday the 6th so I guess we'll see then. She did tell me that I was having lots of mild contractions (felt like cramping to me) and those contractions haven't gone away - they actually seem to be increasing a bit. They told me to take it easy if I can and to keep drinking lots of water.

As of my appointment last week I was 1cm dialated and 50% effaced and I'm curious to see if I've progressed at all at my appointment today.

i am 3 cm dilated & 80% effaced. Have been 80% since 27 weeks and 3 cm for past 2 weeks.

I am 2cm and 50% effaced as well. My doc told me to go back to work until my regular leave time (another week) and not to have sex. He was really not helpful. Told me to keep the baby in until 37 weeks and sent me on my way. Now I'm sitting at work wondering if I'm going to go into labor here!!!

From what I've read and heard, we could stay this way for weeks until the very end. However, it does mean we have a higher chance of going early so we are supposed to take it like a 'warning'. I don't know, the whole thing sucks. I'm a control freak... why can't they just give us a date and make it happen? lol

I had my first internal yesterday and I am 4 cm dilated. My OB said it won't be much longer before my LO arrives. Definitely is going to be a December baby. I am not feeling any regular contractions so far. I am going back to see my OB on Thursday to see if I have dilated more.

ETA: I freaked out, too! It takes some time getting used to the idea that we are really close to labor!

I am so with you on the control freak part!! I am not working now but I don't really know what the doc means by "take it easy" but no bed rest. I mean I still clean my house and take the trash out and do laundry...is that too much!? These people need to explain better! My doc said she wants me to make it to 36 weeks but after that she doesn't see any problems with me going into labor. That would be Tuesday. Tuesday. Wow. And I don't even know if I've had any contractions yet. I mean I feel my belly get tight some times but no pain. So weird. I guess we'll see!
