Last Minute Vacation Ideas...

We are planning a post Christmas vacation / babymoon when I am 32 weeks, we are wanting to stay local / semi-local, driving distance only...any ideas???

Went to Boone in the Spring, before we were preggo, so don't want to go back there, been to Ashville on our honeymoon, 7 years ago...Cherokee this past summer, probably won't go back there, it's a ghost town (no pun intended)...not too big much of a beach bunny, but what is there to do during the winter, besides shop???

 Any ideas???

We normally go to Gatlinburg/Piegon Forge at least every year...and could go back, but kinda been, there done that...

HELP!!

DH and I stayed at the Lake Lure Lodge (B&B) last August and loved it.  It's very near Chimney Rock and we went there once during the long weekend.  It's on the lake and gorgeous and we ate dinner at the lodge as well.  It was delicious!  I highly recommend that lodge and Lake Lure in general.

Is Atlanta too far for you to go? You could go to the aquarium, the Coke museum and many other things that I can't even think of right now!

Charleston is also not a terrible drive from most places in the state -you're less likely to run into weather-related issues going in that general direction :)

Also - the food is phenomenal, there's lots to do with museums, shopping, general sightseeing, and there are so many cute hotels and B&Bs....I'd bet many have decent deals or packages as it's not their high season.

Good luck and enjoy, wherever you decide to go!
