(that's actually one I'm getting them for Christmas). We have Seek and Find Counting Colours and it's the most reached-for book we have right now. It's great too b/c it teaches colours, counting and what things look like (like, I can ask, "where's the lizard?" and they'll flip to the green page and point out the lizard), they're great books, very sturdy, large, great pictures...
A few of his faves right now are Brown Brear, Brown Bear (and all the other ones like that one) and Go, Dog, Go. He likes a lot of others but he specifically asks for those.
Right now ds is loving Go Dog Go, The Cat In The Hat, and Good Night Moon. At 2, his most asked for books were his Thomas the Train book with the button that you push anytime the book mentions one of the Really Useful Engines and it plays the theme song or says "choo choo" (I think the book is called A Busy Day On Sodor). He's also liked Good Night Moon, Where The Wild Things Are, Brown Bear Brown Bear, and anything Elmo since he was 1.
My 3 yo is a girl, but some of her less girly favorites are the Llama Llama books, anything by Mo Willems (Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and Knuffle Bunny especially), and Puff the Magic Dragon (hers was a gift and came with a CD that she loves).
