We have all of the furniture for the boys' new play area, and now we're debating the finishing touches. Problem: we can't decide whether to do a dinosaur or a space monster theme (we don't want to repeat the pirate theme that's in their bedroom). I'm kind of leaning toward the dinosaurs but the little monsters are so cute!
This is what I have mocked up for both - thoughts?

Love the space monsters!!! And how can you go wrong with a Toy Story quote?!!! Dinos are cute but space gets my vote.
The dino's are cute but the space monsters are AH-maz-ing! I love them!! I feel like they are more interesting and there's more going on which makes them more exciting for your little guys to check out.
Now can I tell you my ideas for this little guys nursery and you can put together a cute little image of what it might look like. You are so creative! I can not picture the "big" picture and that image that you did totally helps... your hired
Ooooh this could get interesting! See, I kinda prefer the space monsters but Ben likes the dinos so it's interesting that most people prefer the monsters so far.
LOL I'm the most useless person in the world at interior decorating - no joke. I make these mockups because I HAVE to - I have to play with things virtually until I can see what works and what doesn't. I wish I was one of those people who can walk into a store and go, "Oh that will work with that and this will fit perfectly in the space" but whenever I try that it ends up looking like a hot mess. A Photoshop mockup is the only thing that saves my house from looking like a lunatic lives here.
But if you really do want a hand, I might be able to help.

I am clueless about photoshop! I kind of get ideas in my head and that's how I went for it with Bella's nursery and it actually turned out ok. BUT with this one, I'm not a boy so I'm kind of at a loss for what to do or even where to start. I have all of these ideas on my blog but we haven't actually bought anything yet for the little guy's room. We've only bought a few clothing items and a changing pad. I'm' starting to feel the pressure because I know once I hit 3rd tri my energy will be in the toilet again.
What doesn't Ben love about the dino's? Maybe you could make some changes to the dino room to make it work for you guys if he loves it. I really like all the space monsters lining the wall, they are SO cute and fun!

This is funny because I found it WAY easier to decorate a boy's room than a girl's. I'm not very girly myself, and even if we'd had girls, we probably would have still gone fairly gender neutral.
I don't dislike the dinos (I think they're super cute) and he doesn't dislike the space monsters - we were chatting about them today and he said he thinks the reason he likes the dinos better is because he's not sure about putting a canvas print in there, that it's kind of weird to him (I countered with the fact that babies love looking at photos of babies, and love looking at themselves in a mirror and the print would basically accomplish both of those things).
The dinos are a complete set - everything you see (except for the quote and the footprints) comes as a package. The space monsters are separate - the monsters themselves come in sets of 3, and then the rocket w/ stars and the quote are separate.
