holiday traditions

What are your holiday traditions?  My DH and I want to come up with some for our DS as he grows and I am looking for ideas/inspiration.

    Only traditions we have are stockings being free-game on christmas morning, then after everyone's awake and ready, we do presents... then everyone buggers off to do their own thing for the rest of the day until dinner, then we eat, and that's about it.

    The only thing we do so far started 4 years ago when DH(Then BF) and I would go to Hallmark and get yearly ornaments that summed up the year (First Xmas together - just us, new home, new puppies, pregnant, new baby, etc.)

    I would like to start more, maybe christmas lunch, going to see lights, etc...

    The main one we do, which we started at DS1's first christmas, is to give them a christmas ornament each year that recognizes something they were into that year.  Of course, the first year is a baby's first christmas ornament.
