My 1st day without nursing in more than 18 months.

I am ready, but I feel more sad than I expected. I will never nurse again as I am done having kids. Alana has been weaning herself for the most part, but I am closing shop now because it feels like it is time. Of course I keep 2nd guessing...

*hugs* I was there a year ago and I feel your pain.

My guy started weaning himself at 18 months and was totally done at 20. IT was super hard, I found myself crying over it even thought I was proud of him for being able to nurse as long as he wanted.

It'll get easier for sure, maybe not tomorrow, but it will.

You should feel super proud of yourself for making it as long as you did! Kyva just self-weaned away from our one remaining nursing session about a month ago and I wasn't expecting it to be as emotional as it was. Those weaning hormones are no joke. I felt like I was cutting her loose. But now you get to have your body back 100%...enjoy your freedom, you deserve to!

I got profoundly depressed for a while when DD weaned herself at 8 months. A big part of it is hormonal, huge dip in those "feel good" happy mommy hormones. I'm sorry you are feeling down, I am super impressed you made it this long. Lucky Alana!!!
