DH left DD on changing table alone

So DH was changing Emily's diaper this moring on the changing table and i see him walk into the bathroom to wash his hands. I go into Emily's room and over to her crib and don't see her there. I then turn around to see her on the changing table alone!
Mind you, there is a bar to help protect her from falls but she has been rolling lately and she could roll off.

I grabbed her and yelled at DH to please not leave her alone on the changing table, she could fall. He started saying "stop yelling at me! She was fine! She can't roll off, there is a bar there" I said "yes she can! She has been rolling and she could get her leg over the bar and fall off!"
He stomped out of the room saying 'stop it, stop it, stop yelling at me" UGH.

I yelled bacause that was my initial reaction to seeing my baby left alone on a changing table where she could get hurt!

Was I wrong here?

    No- you were right.  Your DH is probably embarassed or upset that he got caught making a mistake.  But he neds to know not to leave a baby unattended!  Seriously!  I've had the same argument with my DH.  I don't care if he never has rolled off the changing pad... I certainly don't intend to wait for him to get hurt!

    It might have been a little bit of overkill.  You could have told him that she is rolling and that it might not have been the safest.

    Not really wrong, but I wouldn't have yelled. But that's just me. I would have instead called out "DH...can you come here for a moment, please."
    Then when he came to me I would have said in a warned tone "Please don't leave her unattended like this. You know as well as I do that she is rolling, and regardless of the bar, she could roll off. Thanks."
    And left it at that.
    I totally see what you are saying though. Moments like that are scary when something COULD have happened!?

    I can understand why you yelled initially and the pp's right he probably was just embarrassed that you called him out like that.  I would have done the same.

    You weren't wrong at all!  I try not to yell at DH - he gets very offended and I find talking gets the point though better. DH's are very sensitive!  It would have taken a lot out of me to not yell in that situation though.

    No, you were right. He just got offensive because he felt dumb. Boys are dumb. Throw boulders at them.

    I can see you being upset but I probably wouldn't have yelled at him. From experience I know that DH doesn't respond well to that so I would have just told him that DC has been rolling and that it's not a good idea to leave them there alon anymore. Maybe he didn't know that she's been rolling lately.

    Your sentiment is not wrong, but I know from experience that yelling at DH for doing something wrong with the baby gets me no where.  He says I make him feel like a little kid when I do that and then he gets more pissy.  So I try to tell him patiently why he needs to do something differently. (the operative word in that sentence is 'try' sometimes I do still yell)
