Once I got to about 7 weeks, the all day nausea hit me hard. I have not thrown up, but all day long I felt like I would any second. I have tried everything from gingerale, Vitamin B6, and Unisom. B6 and Unisom made it worse. Today, I could not take it any longer. I was so sick this morning I couldn't think of anything but the nausea. I left work and went to the drugstore and bought some Seabands. I remembered seeing someone here post about them. I put them on, and the relief was almost instant. I don't feel 100% better, still a little queasy and not much appetite, but it took the edge off so I no longer feel like I am going to vomit any second. So it is a major improvement, I could actually function at work which was good.
If you are desperae for relief, give them a try. The only thing is I have to wear long sleeves so ppl at work don't see them. If someone asked what they were or why I was wearing them, I don't really know what I would say.
I hope this helps someone!
Re: For ladies with all day nausea...
Awesome! I'll keep that in mind, hopefully I won't need them
Yes, definitely. Like PP said, you wear them three fingers back so they won't show as long as your sleeve hits the top of your hand. I had a very lightweight cardi on today and as long as the sleeves were all the way down, you could not see them.
I did the same thing today! Was driving into work and the thought of having to deal with the nausea made me turn into the drug store. I agree, the Sea Bands are a definite improvement. My only problem was, someone DID notice them! (Even though I had long sleeves on.) Luckily it was my assistant, and she wasn't going to make a huge deal about it...but I figure better that one person noticed the bands than a bunch of people noticing me barfing in the bathroom.
Glad you felt better today!
It does not feel better to vomit. When I throw up, it just gives me a sore throat and an empty stomach, in addition to the nausea.
