Playmobil sets ?

I am checking these out online and wondering if they are too "young" for my daughter.

From reading reviews they are good for 18 months+, I just wonder how high the + goes in age.

I LOVED Playmobils until I was...7, 8? My sister and I had (my mom still has!) the big dollhouse and tons of other sets... they are awesome!

I should say, I didn't have the "large" kind but the regular, smaller kind.

My DD has some of the Playmobil 1-2-3 stuff -- the race car is her favorite!

The recommended age for regular Playmobil toys is 4+ as they have really small pieces, so until DD turns 4 I'm going to stick with buying the 1-2-3 line. I don't think it's babyish at all.
