screwing up the bank account...

Sooo my husband went to the ATM this a.m. & went to get $$ out & saw we had a balance of $5, WTH!!!  I thought we had $600 some.  I've been racking my brain to figure what what the hell is going on & I can feel my blood pressure rising & I know DH is gonna be sooo mad @ me, but I don't think I did anything wrong.  OMG!!!  Stressed!!!

    Awww poor thing! Maybe call your bank, there could be an error.

    February momma here... lurking on your board and thought I may be of some help...

     I work for a bank. and I can tell you ATMs are about the most unreliable form of balance checking there is. They don't tend to show pending credits, so if you have any kind of direct deposit or anything like that it is probably not showing until it "hard posts" which usually takes a day or two. Give you bank a call, there is likely no issue, and if there is, they can help you figure out just what is going on.

    I get panicked calls like this all the time, the other day a guys ATM balance was overdrawn 38 dollars and he really had 1500 in there.

    Well our bank lost a deposit that we made last week, GREAT!!!  Sooo they are trying to figure that out.  Thanks for listening to me vent, hopefully we figure everything out.  Soo much for grocery shopping today!!
