If you're making cookie platters or treat boxes

What are you putting in yours?

I'm making:

Cheesecake pops

Alfajores

Lemon poppyseed cookies (from MS Cookies book)

Caramel brownies (2 separate recipes from different cookbooks)

and maybe iced sugar cookies, but it depends on how ambitious I'm feeling:).

Also, do you have any creative packaging ideas?  I don't know how I'm going to box mine.

  • I am not making any but oneprettything.com has some great printables and gift packaging ideas. You will have to scroll through a bit. There is also a catagories search you can look through for archived ideas.

    My boxes will contain:
    Truffles
    Peppermint bark
    Fudge
    Russian tea cakes
and something else, either sugar cookies or mini pecan tarts.

I actually may start working on them tonight. I have A LOT of boxes to assemble. WOO!

  • I always package mine in metal Christmas tins.  Ususally I will buy them on sale after Christmas for the next year or I go to the dollar store and stock up on them.  I get several different sizes depending on how many cookies need to go to each person/family.  I wash the tins and line them with wax paper.  You could also get the to go boxes like they have at Chinese restaurants and then decorate them.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Michael's has some adorable chinese take out boxes in holiday themes for something like 50 cents a piece right now that are super cute if you didn't want to go the metal tin route.
