Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Sure we all love our kids, but is there one thing

that your kid does that drives you nuts?

I mean besides bigger issues besides sleeping, eating, etc.

DD does this fake baby cry, my Mom taught it to her when playing with her baby dolls with her one day. It is the most annoying sound ever.

  • DS grinds his teeth. OMG it drives me NUTS! And he does a fake whine and goes "uh uh uh" Pretty annoying!

  • I honestly cannot thing of one single thing...

I get annoyed when he won't fall back asleep at 4 am or when he refuses the aspirator and toothbrush, but that's normal baby stuff.  He does nothing personal to annoy me.

  • When DS nurses he "kneads" me like a cat, and no matter how short his nails are, he digs in claws.  He scratched a mole off the other night!

DD knocked my front tooth lost in a tantrum with her head.  She is the quickest to smile, steal attention. The first to warm up to a stranger.  But boy she has a wicked temper and climbs up my leg or if I am sitting, bull dozes me.  It is intense.  Her little feet stamping, squinty eye tantrums are adorable, but don't make that one truly angry, she goes for the kill!

  • My DS grinds his teeth too. It sort of has that nails on a chalk board effect with me.

  • no, not yet... Im sure the "why, why, why?" will get to me in the next year or two
  • DS is obsessed with my hair. He constantly wants to be touching it when I am holding him, especially if he is tired. He wraps it around his fingers and pulls it really hard, not in a mean way just becuase he likes to touch it and run it through his fingers. He will literally fight me to get to my hair sometimes. It really drives me crazy because it hurts and sometimes cries when I put it up in a pony tail instead of letting him touch it. My mom thinks it's adorable of course and always tells me to put my hair down so DS can play with it.
  • It's probably just a toddler thing, but I get so annoyed when ds throws his whole body back and screams as loud as he can.

  • She spends a significant part of her day whining, which really annoys me. This is a recent development though, so I'm thinking it's a phase that will pass. I hope!

  • I wish DD would just sit still sometimes. She is not a cuddler. Maybe a quick hug and she's off. Sits on your lap for about half a story and she's running again. If she's not sleeping, then she is in motion. I wish she would just relax for a couple minutes every once in a while. Oh and the fake crying and flailing tantrums are annoying too. She's a bit of a drama llama.
